F-20 lost spark

Tractor sat for couple years. Started
right up with fresh gas. Ran about 2
minutes, and died. Lost spark.
Emery clothed the points, and nothing.
Figured I domed the points to much
trying to emery cloth out the pits.
Points un-available at local parts
house.
Rumaged through my extra F-4 mags.
Found a like new lower point. Found a
pretty nice upper point. Polished both
with emery cloth, And bingo. Got spark
back.
But not out of the woods. Went on
drive today. Tractor started running
worse and worse after fully warmed up.
One dead cylinder, then another, and
so on till it died. No spark again.
So now what?? Take another look at
points?? Maybe the spark kept getting
weaker and weaker, with weaker plug
wires or plugs affected first. Would
points go out in this manner?? It
maybe ran 1 to 1 1/2 hours total after
switching the points out. Just a
little stumped.

A bad condenser could do that. Without a working condenser, the points burn in short order.
I bought a new condenser off eBay for my F-20 and its been pretty good. The Chinese points are crap though. They corrode after sitting more than a couple weeks. I just drag a dollar bill through the points prior to starting it after sitting a while.
