I've got a 1936 F30 that I tore the engine apart about 3 years ago. I'm putting it back together now and have a few parts that I have no clue where they go. I've attached a pic and will do the others tomorrow when I take pics of them. Can anybody identify what this is?

I had pretty much decided that's where it goes but wanted confirmation. Thanks. What about this piece? There's a bigger one of these that is a shield for the rear main bearing so I'm assuming this is for the front. Which way does it go on?

Quoting Removed, click Modern View to see

That goes on the front end of the crankshaft, the left end as shown in your picture needs to be up against the crankshaft gear.

Been very busy the last couple of days so I haven't had a chance to get more pics and measurements. It slips on the front of the crankshaft like it belongs there but I don't have a good parts drawing or exploded view to know if it goes there or not.

It's not a carb part because that's still on the manifold and I don't think it's a governor part but I'll check that out tomorrow and get pics and measurements.

I may be wrong (Often am), but I think that is part of the governor.

Looks like a piece that goes into the carb to me.

Today's Featured Article - It Can't Be Done! - A Tractor Story - by Neil Campbell. I'll never forget the time back when I was a boy baling hay on our Farm in Big Rapid, Michigan. The most memorable event that took place was a trip up the steepest incline on the farm pulling an old New-Idea baler with a pony-motor for power and a haywagon. I had just talked my Dad into buying an old John Deere B with 6-speeds ahead and I was real proud of it, except it was a little smaller than the Case tractor that we normally ... [Read Article]
