330 power steering seal

Anyone with experience replacing seals on the horizontal steering gear shafts near the end where they connect to the arms? Can you replace them by simply removing the arms? The ones I ordered are neoprene, but currently there appears to be a metal seal around the shaft at the end or else the metal is part of the housing.

If they are like my 300 and 350 utility the procedure which I learned here is pretty straight forward.
Remove the arms which requires a puller. Drill 2 small pilot holes across from each other just throgh the outer metal face of the old seal. Insert a sheet metal or drywall screw into the pilot hole. I used 3 inch screws a hand screwdriver rather than a drill so I wouldn't over insert. They only need to catch not go in deep. Mine came out easily by using vise grips and pulling one side then the other to work them out. Good luck!

Looks identical to my tractor. Thanks for the pictures. The new seals don't have any metal, but hopefully they will work.

My new ones were not metal either. I'm newer to this so I wasn't sure which side of the seal should face inward since they look different then the originals. As you may know, the lip or the open side faces in.
Paul.

Thanks for the tip. The leak is pretty slow right now, so I probably won't tackle the job until it gets worse, but I'm trying to be prepared.
