Farmall H PTO oil seal

Removed the old PTO seal and am looking for a new seal. The old seal is approximately 1 thick. Anyone know where a seal this thick can be purchased. All of the places I have looked say to use two seals that are .312 thick. I can do that, but seems like I heard there was some source for the thicker seal?

If you use the 2 seal method you better put some grease or heavy oil between them or you will burn the one out fast from lack of lubrication. One seal will do it and let you put the lip on a different place on the running surface so it doen't go to leaking right away.

the thick seal would have been leather original equipment seals. pretty sure they are obsolete now. unless new old stock.

I replaced the PTO oil seal on my M using the 2 seal method, and yes, I packed grease in between the seals.

Thanks to all for the comments. The double seal with grease packed between them sounds like a good plan.
