A B cast wheels.

I'm going to be removing 11.2-24 tires from one of my BN's to paint the wheels. The tires are not loaded so I can handle them. I also want to remove the cast iron wheels to paint them. My question is how heavy are those wheels? Never handled the cast ones before. Just wondered how difficult this is going to be.

Not something you want to do with out a chain hoist or front end loader. I don't know how heavy they are but more then one man should try to handle on his own. BTDT when I built my BA

I understand they are real close to 200 pounds each.

The heavy wheel option added 280 pounds to the shipping weight of a B. That would have been net of the weight of the standard stamped steel wheels.
