Coleman Machine

in Clairsville, Ohio. Anyone know if this is a honest place to buy a tractor? One guy said it is just a salvage yard but that does not necessarily mean it couldn't have a decent machine. I have bought several automotive items at a salvage yard and have had good luck. They have a tractor that looks good in the photos I have looked at and it doesn't look like it has been repainted to hide a lot of problems but there naturally could be some major problem too.

Not much help. Bought a tractor from the place in around 1990 give or take a few years. Was satisfied with tractor for the price I paid. Don't know if the original owner is still around. Used to see him at tri green auction before the old man green died. Should find info searching the internet if around that many years.

Bought a tractor there also, maybe 10 years ago. Ended up having a pretty major hydraulic issue but I cant be sure they even knew about it. Price was fair. They have a LOT of junk but they have some decent equipment. Used to always see the owner at every farm auction I went to, but havent seen him in a couple years. But I havent been to many auctions lately either.

I bought a caseih 5230 from him about 4 years ago, it had power shift problems and he told me that from the get go. so I got the tractor and had local caseih dealer repair and no problems. the people I met were nice and help load so no problems there. he is a few miles out of town but not bad. I would buy from him again.
