IH 444 dash lights

as i posted a few weeks ago we acquired my wife's grandfather's 444.

he wasn't a mechanic so some maintenance was say so so and some things didn't get fixed if he had to pay someone to fix it.

one of those items is the covers for the dash lights. Namely the oil pressure light and the alternator light (aka idiot lights). both are missing the lenses that cover the bulbs. any idea where to get these? I presume there are lenses. the owners manual and parts manuals aren't very helpful.

thanks.

From what i understand it was partially built in England and final assembly in Louisville.

The dash in that picture doesn't look like mine.

Thanks.

So then this is more like what you have, see link? It certainly does not show a cover lens for an ..idiot light.. I did a web search for ..IH 444 oil pressure warning light lens.. I see one offer by YT competitor ..beer mug-er.. called a .. Red Flat Lens only for Dash Warning Light.. might this work? When I click .,see all images.. I see a lot universal ones that you could probably put in there if you find one the right size.

thanks

that is the dash. it shows the bulbs in the CaseIH parts list but not the sockets or the lenses. hmm???

i've tried to search for pictures of the 444 dash to see what they might look like but have had no luck there either.

took me a minute to figure out your competitor reference.

thanks for the help.

The sockets are part of the wiring harness. They and the lenses are shown on the wiring harness page. Go to the link already given for the North American 444. Then go to the electrical section and look at G-11. The lenses are shown in the diagram (#83, 84) but not in the parts list.

From the diagram, they look like they may just be flat pieces of plastic with some printing.

Using Jim Beckers info here is another avenue that shows
the IH numbers. It really does no good because the
numbers yield no results in web searches. Oh and just info
wise I have never tried to order parts from avspare they
ask for an email to get a quote. I am going to stick with the
suggestion of finding a universal lamp socket and lens
combo to put in place of the originals.
