Harvester Highlights Magazine

Could anyone on here say what they think of the Harvester Highlights Magazine?

How would it compare to Red Power Magazine? Which is better?

I never looked at One and would like to know from anyone who is a Subscriber.

I might be interested in Subscribing.

Im sure either place would send you a sample
copy. Red Power was more of a picture book ,
Harvester Highlights had more articles.

Hi You get the Harvester Highlights when you belong to a State Club, some of the money you pay to your club,[$15:00} goes to fund it! I like em both I it tell's more about Harvester History! Kevin Darst is , the son of the guy who use to be the editor i think, or maybe his wife!

I get both. Red Power magazine is way better for an IH enthusiast. There are advertisers when you're looking for suppliers, stories from people that have saved tractors, had them in the family a long time,
stories about a line of equipment or development of something like a TA, etc and for sale and wanted ads. Harvester Highlights is more about being in a national IH club. There is a report from all the local
clubs, maybe a story or 2 and a handful of ads.

Used to get it by joining the national club. No state chapter in WV. Plenty of drug heads, bad roads and unless in some better locations bad roads with trash along them but no state chapter.

evin is Darrell Darst's widow and now she is the editor of the magazine. It is a good mag, I get it and Red Power and have for many years.

If you go to the list of chapters go down to chapter 45 you will see I am the president. We formed our chapter in late 2018 and we now have over 700 members. MJ.

What does any of that matter? IH Collectors Club is not a government thing.

All it takes is an adequate number of people with interest and the will to put forth the effort to form a chapter, I'm sure. No need to involve state government.

Right they have nothing to do with chapters. Just a old fellow spouting off about what direction things are going anymore. If I was more of a people person I would of got off my but and tried to start one years ago instead of complaining.

I like harvester high lites because you get updates on what the chapters are doing , I like to know cause lets you develop your interest in ihc .

Are the Ads/Advertisements the same as the Ads/Advertisements in The Red Power Magazine?

If Harvester Highlights is more about all the State Chapters I don't think I will look into it then. I would like to see one anyway.

Thanks for the Replies.

There are a few pages of state chapter reports but I wouldnt get hung up on that. There is a lot of coverage of RedPower Roundups and winter conventions and a few feature stories. With that as a a bonus for the cost of being a member I do think youve much to lose.

I was a long time subscriber to red power
for like 16-17 years, but after several
issues kinda stinking I let it go
Maybe it's better now,it's not a cheap
magazine at $30+ for 6 issues a year..
