F12 carburetor settings

Im not sure on an F-12, but I think its the same as an F-20. The book says bottom the screws, then back out about one and a half turns as a starting point. Then once warmed up and with the spark advance retarded so the engine labors a bit, adjust the idle. Then with the throttle at one quarter open, close the main screw until speed drops a little, then open screw so speed increases and then starts to decrease. Then set the screw at midpoint of those two points.
When you advance the throttle, with the timing advanced and engine warmed up a bit, it should gain speed without faltering at all and give some black smoke while it throttles up.
