Reversed Farmall 560

Hello,
Does anyone here have any experience with a reversed Farmall 560? I know the Ms are hard to reverse because you need shifter parts from a cotton picker. Is the 560 the same, or is it just flip the ring gear over like the Old Allis Chalmers tractors? One is for sale locally, but if shifter parts are a problem it may not be worth it. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Rifman

I reversed a SMTA,years ago, i did it with out the cotton picker shifter kit, i added on the the front of the shifting rails, and got a new shift socket and shifted out of a new plate in the belt pulley area, it worked good, the brakes weren't the best,, but if i could get under it, i could move it!

To do it as a simple bolt over swap you need a Cotton picker top lid and shifters. Yes a regular 560 has the triangle plate that is used as the hydraulic and axle fill point that looks like it would receive the shifter. However, none of the machine work to bolt on the reverse shift rails has been done. See 6th reply from top by Wardner in the old YT post.
