Governor Repair

So if I have to remove the governor and have it fixed, is there anyone to recommend to do the overhaul?

Think some posts on this site recommend a place. But 9 times out of ten it's in the throttle linkage on those tractors. Most have enough movement in throttle lever to go past the wide open stop. If so see if it speeds on up. Or move lever on governor by hand to check before governor work. Unhook rod at governor lever and move lever to rear until you can feel it hit a stop. If that check does't return your speed the unit will need looked into and then it could be just a failing spring or weak one.

There realy is NOT MUCH to repair/ Rebuilding one . MOST problems is wheree the spring goes thru the two arms . and i have covered this before .

Thanks for the comments Ellis and Oly. 300guy, I think it was you that emailed me yesterday. Sorry, I'm having trouble with email and it would't send a reply. There is a lot of good suggestions from the guys here on your thread about the 300 throttle linkage. You can call me at seven 1 2 - 7 nine 2-
3 0 six 5.
