You all make your battery box's wrong and exactly the same wrong. Please remeasure the mounting holes and remake your jigs according. I am tired of redrilling and filing your $130 parts to make them fit!

If this is a YT part the link would be the place to make known your dissatisfaction. The form is found when you are in the tractor parts section to choose your brand. There is ..Help.. at the top to click on, then click the ..form.. link in the ..How to contact us.. box. Maybe, better yet just calling them. If it was another parts vendor you should address your concerns directly to them. Unfortunately, in reality it is likely an overseas sourced part and actually getting the problem corrected is a pretty steep hill. It would be interesting to find out how much the person who is in quality control wherever it may be made actually cares whether some American gets a properly fitting part.

YT doesn't manufacture the parts. They buy them from a middle man, who buys them from another middle man, who arranged to have them manufactured in a factory in China.

Most likely 1000's of them were made in one big run, and that's what you've been buying all these years. They're piled up in some warehouse or shipping container somewhere, and until that supply is used up, no more will be made, IF any more ever get made. Someone has to think that there's money to be made to get another batch manufactured, and that's based on how well the last batch sold.

Guess I lucked out when I needed a batterybox to replace the rotted out one on my BN.

See my then wife had a brother-in-law that was a welder/fabricator for a local company that specialized in building, among other things, process equipment for cabage proccessing plants.

I handed the rusted out battery box and then the next time I saw him he handed me a new one made out of stainless steel, top and all, I know it' not authentic but that's not my deal. All I know is it fit like a glove and holes lined right up. Some day someone will find a pile of cast iron rust with a like new battery box on top of it!

And to add to that it was free, said it gave him something to do when things were slow at work!

Ahhh, a similar story with the automatic transmission flush machine, the inventor didn't get squat out of it !!
