I found this this week and it was being parted out when I noticed the white paint under the red. The man thought it was primer. I took the serial number FC 47081 AND SURE ENOUGH IT IS A DEMONSTRATOR!!! I am having trouble locating correct paint for it and as much info as I can find as Jensales seems to start with 1952 on the service and parts manuals. JIM

Nice save! That is an early white demonstrator. A couple sources said the white Cs were from 47010 to 54411. I have a white C also, but don't have the serial number here in the house. Mine was repainted red (ish), but the white was showing through and the serial number was in the range. Picture from 2019 plow day. I had a BOCES auto body class paint the hood and gas tank. I'll leave the rest as is.

Jensales is hardly the last authority and resource available. Check out Binder Books for manuals.
I would imagine it is the same white IH used on their implement wheels at the time. That might be the IH 901 white.
