Farmall 200 tires

Hello everyone,
My grandfathers Farmall 200 has set idle for about 5.5 years, and yesterday I got the itch to get it back running and functional. It'll take some work, but it also needs a rear tire. The current tires are 11.2-36 and look rather expensive online. Does anyone have a better place to order them than the online vendors like simplytire? I took today and got it back running, it's in rough shape visually, but it ran great once it got started. Hurricane blew down a huge pecan tree onto a shelter, and the shelter proceeded to bust the tire on the tractor, and flattened the top of the steering wheel. I saw on Ebay there is a 12.4-36 tire set on Ebay that says fits the same rim as the 11.2-36, but I'm not sure if they fit. If they are as hard to find as they seem, I might have to change. No good tractor grave yards in my part of the country.

I got 12.4x36 on my Super C and they look good.

How bad are they?? I have one machine that I was told over 20 years ago I needed new tires on it and I did replace one a couple years ago but the other is still on it and holding up. I got a Cub a few month back and the tires look very bad but hold air so I'll use them till I cannot use them any more. I have a pair of good used one for the cub but I'll only change them when I have to. So how bad are they really?? I also have a tire on another tractor that was going flat every 24 hours so I put in 32oz of slime and it has not gone down since

The bad one has a 1 hole in the sidewall. The other tire has been on the tractor my entire life, but still holds air and doesn't leak.

Is it a cut near or on the sidewall? Just one cut or a few? I have boots in my 36 tires. The tractor will not see hard work and so they hold up just fine. I glued them in place and then used 5/16 stove bolts to keep the cut from spreading when it was aired up.

I'm not 100% sure of how many holes, I just pumped it up the other day to see if it would lift off of the ground, and all the air emptied out of a slit that's an inch long it's right in the middle of the sidewall between the bead and the tread. I just realized the inch markers get deleted out of the comments when posted. I'll use the tractor for planting and cultivating, so it'll see some use. I'll try to snap and upload a picture today if I air it back up.

I have a 1955 Oliver S88 that about 2 years ago I had to replace a tire. From what I could tell it was likely to be the one that came on it when new. I only replace tires when I have no other choice

Here is a picture of the hole in the tire, its all the way through to the crossing in the tire, and it's pretty bad. Its right under the TY.

Tractor tires are one thing that you won't necessarily find the best deals online. Get out the yellow pages, call around. Local sources can often match or beat online prices, without shipping, and possibly even including installation.

Tires are expensive. Good used tires are hard to come by. Sometimes you just have to pay to play.

Yep. I found my local Les Schwab could install new 36 inch tubes and tires on my F-20 for the same price I could have the tires delivered to my house. So I let them do it.

I called around a little bit to a few shops and all of them came back with the same thing, checking the same vendors, and out.... out..out... $480... $580... so I tried simpletire and ordered 2 for ~800. Hopefully they show up at some point, and I'll have the mobile guy come and mount them here on the tractor. We have a guy that does field calls for a good price.
Next thing is to get every fluid emptied and changed, and then try to get the planters functional. I think the planters are McCormick 184 planters, have a steel wheel, but has rubber that has rotted around the steel wheel. I'd like to replace that if I could source it somewhere. Those planters always closed rows really well. I'll try to snap a few pictures tomorrow and post them if I can figure it out.
