Would like information about an IH 2424. It is a utility type and that is about all I know. It looks like the 454 or 404 IHs of the 70's. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Fred Mills

Hi Fred, I own A `65. It`s A great little tool here on the ranch. Economical, good parts availability, the right size for what we need it for. Mine has power steering, diff lock,A box blade with rippers, 2 stage pto, hydralics that you can use to raise and lower A guage wheel on A disc or similar. Adjustable front end, and rear wheel width too. I used to think I wanted an 8 or 9n, At the risk of offending, this is A lot more tractor! I`d be interested in hearing about your find, what condition, etc. Good Luck J.

Fred, The 2424 is the Industrial version of the 424 Utility, which is the tractor I have. They where produced from 1965 thru 1968, Had 36 HP, in the gas version, with 4 spd and a Hi-Lo trans Live Hydralics, Differential Lock, 3pt, I maybe prejudiced, but I really like my little tractor. They are a tough and surprisingly powerful tractor, that also handles very well. BCB
