Farmall B bellhousing

I just bought a farmall b andi Im starting to go through it and
change fluids. Opening up the cover plate underneath the bell
housing a bunch of gunk fell out and I cleaned it out. Does
any fluid go in the bell housing? Thanks in advance for your
help.

Flywheel housing is supposed to be "dry".

Any gunk in there leaked out of the rear main seal in the engine, the input shaft seal in the transmission, mixed with grease from the throwout bearing.

If you have any sticks, grass and or leaves mixed in, then you also had a mouse nest at some point, I
had one three years ago in my A that jammed the starter when I tried the first start in the spring.

Isn't that mouse suppose to be in there for when you need a little more power?

Yep, that's normal. Do you have a manual for your tractor? Lots of good info that you need in there.
