Super M Sediment bowl

Hi all, I've got a '52 Super M that does NOT have compression fittings on the fuel line. I need to buy a new sediment bowl but I'm not sure what to get. It seems like all the listings I can find are compression fittings. I bought the current one (which now has stripped threads, don't ask) at NAPA 25 years ago and it was no problem to get...

I don't think the current one is 1/8 NPT either, it measures just about 1/2 across which I think means is 1/4 NPT.

Thoughts?

An M is 1/4 pipe. The original is a complession type. Yours is a 'nonstock' replacement. So you have two choices. Buy a 'stock' assembly and new oem type gas line,or adapt something that will work with neccessary fittings. These guys(YT) show a OEm type sediment bowl assy, and a flexible gas line. Stiener tractor will also have OeM bowl and steel gas line.

The female thread bung in the tank of an M is 3/8 in. NPT. The original line to the carb is 5/16 in. tube with special one taper compression fittings. If you want to go with pipe thread to whatever setup you have to the carb you could get this sediment bowl shown by YT, see link. You would just need to get a 1/8 in. to 1/4 in. NPT brass adapter. Even though the ID of that fitting may be small it will flow as much as the ID of the float needle seat in the carb.
