Dumb me dropped my crank pulley for my B. Is the chunk that broke off going to be an issue if I put it back on? Or should I just buy a new one?

Gosh, your post sure brought the "hack job" guys out of the woodwork!

Yes, what's been said will work just fine, on the other hand, for your nice looking restoration it would be no big deal to silver solder or braze the broken of pieces back in place, with a little grinding or belt sanding an paint no one would ever know.

There's such a small piece missing, that it would make more sense to simply build the edge up with brazing and file it to shape.

Good morning Engineer and others: Why would the pulley not work just as it is with the little piece missing? I will admit, it would not look well at a show, but as far as running, it seems to me it would be ok.

Boy that just make you sick when that happens .
Sand blast it clean it , chamfer break , preheat pulley ,braze it and machine the groove smooth ,it will look great , load it up and take it to the show. Tell every you fixed yourself, they will never see it
Good luck

The water pump pulley on my Super H is missing a much larger chunk and it's not eating the belt. I just pretended I didn't see it and painted over it. The tractor doesn't see enough use to really make it worthwhile to open that can of worms. Maybe when I get my new shop built.

I'm just thinking here you've got it apart and accessible, why not make it pretty? Otherwise it will be a can of worms to pull it apart and fix it later after you get tired of having nightmares about it, LOL.
