Hi all
After finally getting my 844-S to start and run I saw that it is leaking from one of the output lines to one of the nozzles.

Hello Christian welcome to YT! If your description had been a little more on parr, you may have gotten a better response. You should wait and see if Dieseltech drops by and looks if I give a better description. The Hydraulic union connection ..80 in linked diagram.. is leaking where it screws in the injection pump. Looks like 84 is the seal washer. Anyone else copy and paste the links he gave in your browser address bar and you should be able to see what he is talking about.

I should have added Dieseltech is a poster here that runs an injection pump repair service. If he sees this he will likely let you know what the correct approach is to repair your problem. I will place a live link to your video of the leak here. On my iPhone if I select ..continue to website.. the video will play.

Could the leaking be a result of the fuel line from the pump to the injector being clogged by some dirt and therefore the pressure will result in the diesel coming out of the seal ?

Will I risk anyhing by removing the fuel line in both ends, both the pump end and the injector end, blowing air through it ?

Is it too risky removing the incejtor to check it or is it almost certain this is ok ?

Bosch VA/VE rotary pumps use a gasket UNDER the delivery valve, and NO gasket BETWEEN the valve and line fitting. The fitting MIGHT be cracked, causing the leak. I would try using two wrenches, remove the fuel line from the fitting, then loosen the fitting. Now, use a torque wrench and tighten/loosen/tighten the fitting a few times to 30 FT/LB. This MIGHT stop the leak, and is worth a try. If leak does not stop then fitting and/or valve may need replaced.
