Farmall M head gasket

I am replacing the head gasket on a 1947 M. The tractor has a 4" bore. Can I use a gasket for the stock 3-7/8 bore or do I need to get a different head gasket. Thanks for the help.

Unless you some how have a pre 1952 gasket it will fit the over bore sleeves just fine. The greater majority of gaskets produced since the late1950s allow for bore diameters of 4 and an eighth inches as used in the 450. See YT gasket kit in link.
