Farmall 100 fluctuating

Hi my farmall 100 idles nice and smooth
till about half throttle from half
throttle to full throttle it fluctuates
bad worse at full throttle what have I got
wrong

sounds like the surge spring is bad it that nut on bottom of gov. houseing take nut off unswe bolt out of houseing the spring is the screw.

When it is at a speed it fluctuates grab the linkage going to the carb and hold it still. If the fluctuations stop the problem is in the governor, probably the buffer as was suggested. If it still does it is a problem with the carb fuel mixture. Adjust the main fuel jet near the bottom of the carb out or in a turn see if it smooths out.
