Farmall Cub with out hyds

So I have seen a good number of cubs but the one sitting out in the shop driveway doesn't have hyds. So how common is it for a cub to not have hyds?? It does how ever have a hand lift for the belly mower

Probably not many produced that way but as an assessory some people were probably too tight to spend the money. The tractor was designed to get rid of the last horses maybe the original buyer didn't see any value in hydraulics. Maybe the system went bad and someone just removed it. Any indication it ever had hydraulics?

no 1947 cub came from the factory with the touch control the touch control wasnt ready BUT the tractor was outfitted to get the hydraulics from the factory. the first were available on the 48 cubs. they were an optional for several years

I dont think they are that uncommon. I have one with and one without hydraulics here at the farm. Ive seen several over the years watching Craigslist without hydraulics.

That said, I wouldnt want another around without hydraulics. Not much for this one to do except drive in a parade. The other one earns her keep as my lawnmower with a 42 Woods belly mower.

The Cub here is an early '47 that still has the hand lift. Made in the first couple months & I don't think the hydraulic system was ready to be installed on them yet. I have a hydraulic pump here, if you're looking to piece a system together.

I'm not worried about having hyds. Shoot i don't even know if it will be mine or if I am just fixing it for the guy to sell

My 48 Cub still has the cork in the torque tube plugging the touch control tapped holes. Never really gave much thought to installing either. I've plowed a lot of snow with the handlift.
