I have a '48 Farmall S/A. I need to clean the battery posts. The negative post is under the gas tank so I need to use sanding cloth to clean it. What grit is best?

get a roll of plumbers sandpaper for cleaning copper pipe prior to soldering. its an emery type on a cloth backing. works really well

Just be sure to spray the post off with a electric type cleaner spray after using sand paper or Emery cloth since either one can/will leave grit behind that can cause poor connections

I just use a jack knife and scrape them upward with each swipe or an old wire brush. The best Is on 12V i put 31's in with studs and forget about all the cleaning till I have to change the battery.
