Super A dist cap

I purchased new points, plugs, condensor, coil and distrib. cap from this site, Getting ready to install, but there is a manf. hole in the side of the dist cap, is that normal? have not removed the old one yet

The hole is to let moisture out. Your old one should have one too.

leave the old condenser in way too many of the new ones fail just let there and you will always have a new on if you ever need a new one those old ones last forever. Last new one failed in the first half day on a tractor ride put the old one back and engine is still running.Only new one i would trust would be an ECHLIN. You should clean the new points with alcahol to remove any coating sometimes found on them

I will give this a try this week, will put the old condenser back in. I didnt do anything to the points so maybe that will help.
