Turbo on 966

Has anyone here ever put a factory
turbo for a 10 or 1466 on a 966?
If so is it possible did it up the
hp much? Just curious if it would
work

Yep guys have added a hair dryer to them , BUT you will NOT get what you thing as the head is really not meant for a turbo . You may gain 10-15 %

Back when they were 'new',a lot of guys would turbo em. Figured they could get the power of a '10' for the price of a '9'.Our local dealer smiled all the way to the bank. They sold(and installed) a lot of turbos.

A friend of mine has a turbo on a 986. It's been on since he bought it back in the early 1980's. It was dyno'd at well over 160 horsepower, but he had them turn it down to 120 so it would live longer.
