IH Cub IH Super A Plow

Thanks for the replies. I got a cub a few months ago. I just went back
yesterday to pick up the implements. Sickle Mower, front wheel
weights, plow and etc. I was just curious if the plow would work on
my Super A. If it doesn’t it’s no big deal.

At one time, we had an A and a Cub. The plow for the A was a 18 inch one bottom. The plow for the Cub was a 12 inch one bottom. I think that was the only difference. That's been 55 years ago, so my memory may not be good. But I believe the Cub plow we had would have fit on the A.

IH made two way (left and right turn) plows for the Cub and the Super A. Cub plows were only 12 inch and the plow beams are shorter. Super A usually had 2-14 inch plows.

The SA has a longer beam but if you reverse the drawbar it will work but you need a lever to control the Cubs drawbar to raise and lower it for plowing depth. If you hook the Cubs drawbar to the Cubs rockshaft it would work

The Cub one-bottom plow and Super A one-bottom plow only LOOK similar. The Super A plow is larger in every dimension. The bolt hole spacing on the drawbar mounts are different from the Cub to the Super A plow.

You could probably figure out a way to hang the Cub plow on the Super A where it will turn over a furrow, but it won't be exactly factory.
