That when you take the little
cover off the side of the
injector pump, you get a Niagara
Falls of fuel flying out of
there & when you're seated, the
fuel flows down your arm & into
your lap? It also burns like a
such & so when it gets to your
neither regions? Then when you
shut the fuel off at the tank,
it's still going to flow back
from the return line? I gotta
tell ya, it made for an
interesting morning. Lol! The
good news is, the timing on the
pump is right on. There's also a
great flow of fuel to the pump.
So, with my "welcome to the
world of diesel engines"
initiation aside, I now wonder
what is causing the tractor to
start like it's running rich &
be doggy. It made it up the big
hill just fine in 5th, DD. Just
has no ooomph taking off of the
line. It runs smooth, the
exhaust is clean a few minutes
after starting. The engine is a
little clatter-y, but I haven't
retorqued the head or gone over
the valves yet. So, what might
be going on?
