Hello,
I have a 1968 IH 544 Hydro that will intermittently stop going forward. If I don't quickly pull back on the speed lever, or press the dump pedal it will jerk back to going forward. Reverse works fine. bucket, PTO, 3pt. all work fine. I have drained and replaced the transmission fluid with a new filter. Air was purged by moving the speed lever to full forward (while in neutral) and then to reverse. Did this for 5 seconds forward and reverse several times. The engine does work harder in forward when doing this procedure. Any thoughts or comments are appreciated.
Thanks,
John
