SMTA light bracket

I recently fixed the lights on a SMTA for a friend. The rear light mounting bracket is one I've never seen before. Anyone know if this is a correct bracket? It has the really long shaft hanging down which seems to say this is wrong.
The wire to power the light was missing and is not yet installed in these pictures.

Not the best angle for picture and this is a SH box, but the SMTA mounted the same on the side of box originally. One half inch pipe thread piece in box used a 1/2 pipe in it and light mounted to it with clamp like on the front light bar used for lights. Look close on left rear side of box for pipe and part of light in picture.

The shaft in the pictures I posted is actually a solid shaft, not a pipe. I'm aware of another SMTA that has the exact pipe mount that you mention. Thanks for the photo.

I think its part of an mounting bracket off a mid eighties sb chevy, that A.I.R pump thing I think it's called. Many deleted those.

Looks like it was past time for a new battery box too. Lots and lots of rust on the bottom of that box.
That was about what the box on my '54 Super H looked like in 1980/'81.
