Re: 2606 with c221 sleeveless block parts needed

(quoted from post at 07:08:49 09/18/20) I am slightly confused what you are looking for ... is
it pistons or liners or both?

Hello. I just need the pistons. The local machine shop has their own source for liners. That said, at this point, if I can find both then they will use them. As with most shops, they have a rule about bringing in customer parts but in this case they made an exception for me since they can't find them.

Reliance, Jensales, and other parts sellers list them but then they show up as unavailable. Most of the after market sellers I have talked to get their pistons from Reliance as does my local machine shop. Thanks.

There is reputable firm in uk that specialise in the
manufacture of liners with no minimum order and
export all over the world so if you are stuck for liners
let me know ..... I have no connection with this firm

You don’t need liners in these blocks.
There is a lot of shelf pistons that’ll work good and keep your cost low and still last a long time.
I’d put a 301 crank in it n 301 bore for half that easy.

I'm game if you can point me to the part numbers and website where I can order them.

The problem we had with alternative pistons is that the compression height was so high it might interfere with the valves or so low that there wouldn't be enough compression to run.

Now if there is a website that has a new crank, pistons, and rods for a 301 gas or diesel that will drop right in the block for a decent price then that would be all the better. Any extra horsepower is good. Thanks for your help.

Yt here has most of those parts,
Pistons, gaskets, brgs.
You could locate a good 301 and have it trucked out to you.
There are several people on the tractor pulling board on this
site, just post there, and you’ll find a bunch of 301s if that
route helps.
Look for 715 combine engines.

Thanks everyone. Just wanted to close the thread out. Got a more detailed update on the original topic but I did find a 301 crank regrind and some new 301 pistons.

I
imagine I'm late but I'd have a 301 crank as
well

Hay, just to set the record straight, your the money tree for them, we got a good machine shop up here too,but it does add up a lot of $$!

Order 2, “c200” gas piston kits
A c200 is a 4 cyl version of the 301. Uses same pistons.
You’ll get 8 pistons and prolly save a bit.
