M&W Governor

Back when you could buy a new M&W governor how did they come? Was it a complete governor or just the shaft with the weights and the throttle tube and you but it together yourself? Are the internal parts different between the H and M? I have one off a M and would like one for my H, can I just put the M internals in my H housing?

The H tube is shorter i know that, because i got one,i tried to put it on a M, when i was younger, it was a no go!

I put a Thompson rocket off of a SM on my H. Had to use the H tube and upright off the H, also had to shorten the linkage coming out of governor. May have changed the drive gear, can not remember. Have not had any problems with it.

Yes. The internal parts are the same. You could even swap out the whole assembly, but you would need to use the governor tube for the H.
