6.00-16 replacement tire

does anyone no a good replacement tire that can handle thorns, im sick of patching these cheap three rib 6.00-16 frost king tires, any good car tires that would work well?

6.00-16s seem to be thorn magnets. Can
you run airplane tires? I'm not a fan of
foaming tires. They certainly will never
go flat. Truck tires would shed thorns
better. The older and stiffer they are
the better they'll work. I have a set of
5.50-16s that've been foamed sitting in
the barn. They came with a tractor I
bought. I switched them out as soon as I
could. If you're anywhere near NE Kansas
you can have them.

Thanks for the offer but Im in New Jersey, I have two front tires with slow leaks from thorns, I usually fix them right away , but when you get to the farm thats 20 minutes away and there flat at 4 in the morning , it kinda sucks changing them then , I was gonna keep a spare all ready to go in case it goes flat again, but like I said its a bummer changing them out every other weekend. Figured I get better tires to combat the situation

Gensco Tire sells airplane tires and rim assemblies. You want to buy them pre-mounted because the airplane tires are nigh on impossible for a human to mount.

Nearest they have size wise is 7.50-16 for tractor fronts.

14 ply steel belted trailer tire

Hey wheel sells those airplane tires also. Not sure which is cheaper. I suppose a guy could alsways go back to steel wheels then they would not go flat either.

Any way you can eliminate the thorns? We have some Locust trees with thorns and I cut them down every chance I get.
Wild Plums are another to stay away from. cleddy
