M choke carb

Hi. I have a 1940 M. The carb was flooding out, so I did a light rebuild with new gaskets and needle. (The float was jammed) I cleaned everything out. Although I solveD the flooding problem the tractor seems to run at very high idle and only with the choke halfway out. I am not a mechanic, but I love my tractor and learn as I go. Any thoughts on what I need to adjust? Ive cleaned all the lines. I am not a mechanic, but I love my tractor and learn as I go.
Also, is there any place where I can find a good detailed diagram of the choke?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this

you may have caused some dirt to break loose in your light rebuild that is now in one of the jets. You need to determine if you have a good flow of fuel to and through the carb. That means removing plug from bottom of carb and catch fuel that comes out. If no fuel there work backwords. There is or should be, a filter in inlet elbow to carb. That could be plugged. Next step is to check screen in sediment bowl. Beyond that is possibility something in fuel tank is blocking inlet to sediment bowl. If in first step you have plenty of fuel to carb, you need to take carb off and clean it completely, all jets and passages.
