IHC 27 pull-type combine question ....

I'm looking for a radiator for a Farmall A or Farmall B. One guy has replied to an ad that has an IHC 27 pull-type combine for parts but he can't get to the combine for whatever reason. Any chance that the radiator would fit a Farmall A or B tractor? I know this is a long shot but I thought I might ask here. I can't find anything on web searches, I'm not even sure if the 27 combine has a 4 or 6 cylinder engine. I'm not even sure there is an IHC model 27 combine, web searches come up blank for the most part.

I wonder if a 27 didn't use a Cub engine. Don't remember if the 27 is the smallest combine that IH made or if there was a smaller one, but I'm sure the smallest they made used the Cub engine.

There was a 22 Harvester Thresher. Those were made in the 30's & would not have originally had a Farmall anything motor on it. Please note I said originally. You could add anything to it if you have the mind to. The whole thing sounds bunk & I'd demand to see photos of it or no deal.

Did some poking around & the closest thing I could find is a 127SP. That has a SD-240 inline 6 in it. So, I don't think that's a match, unless you're turning your A or B into a hotrod.

Well, the radiator would have been a freebie .... haven't seen it yet but that diagram in your book tells me it's not close to fitting a Farmall A. Those hose connections on my tractor from the rad to the top and bottom of the engine block are pretty tight and what I see in teh diagram is a million miles away. Thanks for the replies everyone ...

Probably more like a McCormick 42 or 52 combine. I know of a 52 that has been sitting in a shed for over 50 years. I do not know if the engine is an IH or a small Continental. I am thinking it is a Continental 'flathead' 4 cylinder.

Probably a Cub engine, from a distance
they might be mistaken for a small 4
cylinder flat head Continental. First
time I saw a small IH combine (42?), I
thought it was a Continenal engine.
After I acquired a Cub, I realized that
it was a Cub engine. I knew where the
combine was & went back to look at it.
It has a Cub engine on it. The guy won't
sell it.

A Cub engine does make more sense.

I see my post title said pull behind. I meant self propelled. The 127 SP would be a self propelled right? SP stands for self propelled maybe?

Another comment ..... reading the fine print in your book image, it mentions a 240 Silver Diamond engine, the reference below says it was a truck engine (with less horsepower). Amazing info to be found on Google searching. Also interesting is the fact that the whole engine and drive train could be removed intact and used as a power unit away from the combine, very clever.
