so I am rebuilding my 340 backhoe motor which is a 135 ci with a 3.25" bore and has stepped head pistons and the previous owner who allready had taken the head off years ago gave me the parts he took off in a basket like rocker shaft , pushrods ect. so I was missing several pushrods and other parts and went to my friend who has many farmalls / International for parts and I got 2 push rods and 2 head bolts and these parts came out of a 113 ci motor. and we measured them up and they were the same length so I went home to put it back together only to find out that the pushrods we took out of the 113 motor was bigger in diameter than the 135? so I am using them as its all I have , and so I called him and he said that both motors calls for same part # for the push rods ? Ok so anyone have any thoughts on this as I would think that the bigger 135 motor would have bigger pushrods? any reason I cant mix them up? thanks in advance
