Cub help please

I am probably posting a lot of questions on this site for help with my 1949 Cub. By no means am I a mechanic but I try to do what I can so I can learn more. I purchased a Cub a few months ago. It runs ok but I am having problems with it. One thing I noticed was that it was missing a steel plate called the Clutch Housing Inspection Cover. I ordered a replacement but there were no new bolts for it. My question is can someone tell me the size of bolts needed for me to put the cover back on and will it require nuts also or is it bolts only. Thank you for any help you can provide for me.

The plate should come with what you need. I believe it has an arm on the inside of the plate that fits over the lip on the opening and tightened down with a wing nut.

You're right - my thoughts went to the clutch inspection hole on the bottom. I guess I thought of that first because of my small tractors were missing it when I got them.

Thanks, that helps a lot. One more question, do these bolts need nuts also? If so would you suggest lock washers too? Thank you.
