Sorry in advance if this was double posted.** As you can see a leak has sprung here. I’m not sure how involved it would be to fix this or perhaps it is a gasket. This is a 340 utility 60 or 61 I would guess.

This is my first tractor and it is my first day with it. The second photo shows where I sprayed some penetrating oil but that is not engaging (lever is pretty locked up) Any help or advice is appreciated. Otherwise it’s a great strong running little tractor.

Thanks all

Mac welcome to YT! That is a soldered seam on your radiator. Unfortunately you will need to remove the radiator and bring it to a repair shop to get it fixed. I think the other picture shows the control for the hitch. Not familiar with the 340 but I think I have read on here about those being prone to sticking.

Hey thanks! I’ll grab a brazing rod and see what I can do myself.

The lever I’ve been hitting with Lucas I’m hoping that frees up eventually.

I have a sicklebar mower attached but I’ll need to remove somehow to fit in my shed, as it is too tall if it is stowed in the vertical position. Seems like a lot needs to come apart. I’m hoping there’s a way I can just take the bar off.

Thanks again

You need solder and flux/tinning fluid, not brazing rod! And the joint needs to be clean to start. It might be worth it to have a radiator shop clean, test, and repair it.
