F706D Oil Light Flashing

What would cause the oil light to flash? It just started yesterday when I started it up to mow some hay. The flashing light comes and goes. The oil level is fine. Should
I be worried? It is the German diesel - fyi. Please give me your thoughts and experiences on this. Is there something I need to do? Thanks in advance.

erratic oil pressure would cause that, but more commonly would be a bad sending unit or bad wire from the light to the sending unit. if the wire is shorting to ground interment it will cause the light to flash. verify with a manual gauge, if it reads good inspect your wiring and operation of the sending unit.

Well lets start off with (1) ya have to figure out if the low oil pressure is in the engine or the MCV . The flashing light is what it should do when one or other system is low on pressure because IF the Bulb is ORg they are a flashing bulb as a flashing light will get your attention faster then just a solid on light will. . (2) this is what i would do , I would get two gauges , one gauge that would read up to 150 PSI and install that one on the engine and the second gauge of the same value and install that one in the MCV where the sender unit is . For the engine up to running temp at high ideal ya want atleast 40 Psi and on the MCV on the lube circuit ya want 18-22 psi , Now if ya go down to the bottom plug on the lower right on the bottom there ya want somewhere between 235 and 270 . Myself on a 706 i personally like 245 to 250 on clutch pressures . The color of the oil pressure wire is gray .
Check for loose connections of the wire .

T.V. has it. Though I would ask does it flash when you have the clutch pushed out or no. IF only when the clutch is out then it is not the engine oil pressure.
