farmall 350 parts

I have a 1957 farmall 350, narrow front, with the 175C 4 cyl engine. I am reassembling, it, after a valve job, and need to know what oil filter element (number) to buy, and also what spark plugs to order. I have Jensales manuals, and they don't mention this. I also need a head gasket set, and oil pan gasket, but hope they won't be a problem to order, by just asking for the 175 engine gaskets. The oil filter sets in a canister, and is NOT a spin on type. I will need to get the O rings for the canister, I expect, if they don't come with the filter! PLEASE let me know, what plugs and oil filter, to buy, so I can proceed.

the parts man will look after you if u are buying from dealer or napa. filter comes with a square o ring. and plugs are champion D16 but you might want a hotter plug. thats a start. all these engines from the 1950's basically take the same oil filter, its not specific to one tractor model. you need a valve grind gasket set.

Napa 1172(short filter),or NaPa 1125(tall filter). If the square Oring is not damaged or leakig,Leave it in. Do no try to dig it out. They can(and often do) last for multiple oil/filter changes.

Thanks a lot, for the information, Delta Steve, and Rusted. Yes jim YT does have what I need,in the gasket set, and also the plugs, and filter. I have bought a lot of AC parts, and also some Oliver stuff, over the last 20 years, here at YT parts. However when I made up my cart 2 nights ago, at YT parts, everything went normal, until I put my mastercard number in, and their site told me I had entered the wrong number. I checked the number very carefully, and no mistake was present. I canceled every thing, and started over from exolorer, I went thru the whole process again, with the same results. My card worked fine at Arco, for gas, and again at the credit union for cash. I need parts on the way NOW, not next month. I can get the gasket set from Welters in Verona Mo. from the phone, and in 3 days they will arrive, with an invoice, in closed. I will send Welters a personal check, and they will be happy, KINDA OLD FASHONED, ISN'T IT?

If the filter "square" O ring leaks, use a dental pick to get it ALL out, clear to the bottom of the groove. Dip your fingers into the waste oil pan & oil the new O ring and put it into the groove, making sure it goes in without a twist. The filter housing will snug it into place. Don't over tighten. I always change mine every time I get one with the filter, some times the "square" O ring just isn't there.
