Farmall 460 Duel Leak

Please take a look at this and give me some advice and how to stop - fix the leak on this injection pump. See the big beadeed - looks like bolt but I know it is not. It is
leaking. What do I do to fix? Thanks. I you your all know the answer. John

Well let me just say that I think the saying ...It is easier to help those that help themselves.. definitely applies here. I’m not trying to come down on you with a big wallop and I certainly understand that it is difficult for some to work with a computer. But it seems you couldn’t even take the time to correct the word duel to fuel. Secondly I have no idea what a ...big beadeed.. is?? Google doesn’t even know, is that just a non-descript word like ..gizzmo or widgit? I think I see a drip on the bottom of the larger hex headed plug near the bottom of the pump. Is this where you think the leak is? I am no expert but I have had a few of those pumps apart, that plug has something to do with the timing advance. I would recommend going to the post in the link and sending an email to Dieseltech from his reply there using Classic View. He will be able to help you out. If your title would have said ...injection FUEL leak... he may have taken time to look at your post. He may have thought like I did that the leak was in a dual rear wheel, which having those on a 460 would be asking for certain problems with the rear drive train.

By the looks of your pump I think it is leaking further up and running down on the pump. Though it could also be the fan blowing it around all over the pump and engine.
 
Caterpillar Guy - you are correct there is a leak one other place on the pump. But when it is not running, it drips from this cap. Do you know how I can fix that. I keep a five gallon bucket in it now. I even turn off the valve from the fuel tank.
