Did the maker of the comfort cover ever make a umbrella,I got one the same color, and canvas as i remember the the comfort looked like, Not sure where i got it,but no mouse holes, and still operational, had it on last week for a parade !!

Dad had an umbrella, think it was on the SM-TA when I cultivated with it, and Dad liked it when he pulled the combine with it. I never cared for it, wobbled around and drove me nuts! The Koehn (pronounced cane) tractor cab was much better shade at least once you got in the cab, climbing in the back of the 450 with Fast Hitch was a chore even at 14 yrs old. I'm surprised Dad could get in at all! Guess that's why I did most of the fieldwork.

Mine is solid enough, i attached it to the outside drawbar groove, on the rear axel that isn't used, got a dummy square tube and bolts and went up from there! Plenty of room for the right leg when i swing it over the seat!

The BIG boxy AUTOMATIC tractor radio mounted on the two capscrews the SM-TA's throttle was held down by, and our umbrella had two stabilizing rods, we ran one to the light bar, I forget where the other one bolted to, combination of that big heavy radio and the umbrella, things were shaking around easing across grass waterways. And running to/from the other farm, the umbrella didn't like wide open in road gear at ALL. And I absolutely had to have the radio cultivating corn the first time or two, had to stay awake!

Femco made comfort covers and buggy top umbrellas for tractors. I won't guarantee it but I think they made John Deeres. My neighbor has a JD brand on his 2510 and I had a Femco for my 2510. They were very similar except mine was several years newer and was vinyl instead of canvas. It didn't last very long before it was ripped out. I now have a Burch Heat Houser that is canvas but the frame is useless.

It is a little differant green then the one on you'r john Deere,The brand i am thinking of is Heat House comes to mind, but this has too be 50 years old!

The comfort cover on the bottom picture is a Heat Houser brand made by Burch. I didn't know they made umbrellas but I wouldn't be surprised if they did. The only company I can think of that made covers and umbrellas is Femco and maybe Snowco and Regal. Can you maybe post a picture of your umbrella.
