bought my first tractor a couple of weeks ago replaced the starter and checked the flywheel to see if its moves it took some doing and then moved till a certain point (probably when it hit compression) so installed starter but it just wint crank any help would be greatly appreciated

Take the cover off, the bottom and then turn it back, with a big screw driver or what ever you can get some leverage with, take the plugs out if it's a gas, squirt some motor oil in there too, maybe two shots with a pump can! Was it a running tractor when u bought it?

could also have liquid in the cylinders, if a gasser then pull the plugs, squirt in a little oil and crank as suggested.

not positive of the tractor info but the plate says model 3444 international. But when i looked for a starter everyone showed a different starter than what was in there?

It should not be loose, but you should be able to rotate the flywheel at least one revolution one pry at a time with plugs out. If it comes up against something solid, then you have an internal issue. Please try that and post back. I would do this with the clutch in first time.

thanks guys the oil trick worked no to make sure i have spark and then clean the fuel system and then (fingers crossed) she will start right up again thanks for the tips sure i will have many more questions before im done😅
