How to use hydra touch for installing power steering 450

I want to use the original hydraulics on my
450D to install power steering like it says
in manual. However info is limited on that
and wondering if anyone has pics or could
describe where I need to plumb into.
Hopefully I won't have to add anything. It
has 3 remotes with fast hitch. Also wonder
why you see a lot of 450's with the ps pump
running off the crankshaft pully like it's a
M? I would think the real hyd. would be much
better.

The simplest is to get a safety regulator valve from a 400-450 with PS to replace the one it has (and a "U" shaped tube /plumbing). The next simplest is to use a PS pump from a car or truck, (honda pumps from the mid 80s had remote reservoirs that might make it easier. The hydraulic system is not friendly to typical flow divider/priority valves, but that can be done. Jim

Worked good when new or in good shape, but the priority part of the regulator valve block gets worn and they get weak. Also if the hydraulic pump on engine doesn't have full capacity they are weak. Bad news on adding parts to your tractor. You need the control valve nearest steering post, a orifice to block hole between valve and post, regulator and priority block facing front of tractor and to rear of fuel tank, pipe and fittings to connect block and control valve added. Pressure line to PS out bottom of added block. Return line was to a tee added at the reservoir drain hole.

Aimed to say bad news on work needed to ad factory system. Other problems I posted when worn is why you see other pumps added.
