Super C Hydraulic Line

Just a curiosity question. On a Farmall Super C why are there two different versions of the hydraulic line running from the pump to the touch control reservoir. I have two Super C's. The 1951 has a fast hitch (added later) and it has one type of end at the reservoir to accommodate the fast hitch control. The 1952 has a differnet line that and the previous owner installed a large external reservoir for a rear hydraulic connection so he could operate a dump rake. Originally he disconnected the touch control but I have a by pass block in there so both can still be operated. However the hydraulic lines from the pump to the reservoir are different from the lines o the 1951 model. Can the 1952 lines be adapted to a fast hitch control? I have ended up with two extra lines of that type that I have had for several years.

The steel lines (IIRC) are a bit tough to sandwich the check valve needed to get additional remotes to work. SO some of the issue is running changes,
and some was farmer modification. Jim
