What is a good remedy when the flat ish sealing ring on the fuel supply line is not longer useable? Its the one that threads into the fuel screen fitting in the carburetor.

TIA!!!

you will need to go to napa or a dealer and see if they can match up that fiber washer. if you had some thin packing you could wrap it around
and might work temporarily. it will look like string with graphite on it. a handy man could make one out of some brass shim stock. where
there's a will theres a way.

Poor description on my part. Its the seal on the steel fuel line where it enters the screen fitting.

IH used a special brass "nut" with a ferrule attached that separated the first time it was tightened.

It's unlikely you will find the correct part locally except at the dealership (IF they still stock them).

This is the special fuel line nut with attached compression sleeve IH typically used, current part # 222-503.
If this is what your tractor originally had, the sediment bowl and the carb inlet fitting are made to accept this special nut.

LOTS of sources, from the FIAT dealer to IH restoration parts sources on the 'net, GOOGLE 222-503. They are not real expensive, not a big deal to get the correct part and do the job right
