New mufflers with OE sound

Hi, Where and or who has the new OE sounding mufflers? Looking for the contact info. Have a Stanley on the H right now.

Supposedly you want the "restoration quality" muffler sold by several vendors.

I looked at these mufflers at shows and they're just muffler-shaped straight pipes.

I've got a genuine IH stamped replacement muffler for the H/M and the like, and you can NOT see through it. It has a baffle. The restoration quality mufflers have no baffle, and will be as LOUD as a straight pipe.

Just posted this a couple days ago. The Stanley IH 10 that most people put Hs and Ms is every loud and nothing like the original. The
Stanley IH-13 (a little higher priced than a Ih-10) is much better and sounds more like the original. You may have to order it because you
can't get it of the shelf at most farm and home stores.

Thats the mufflers I always buy as well although mine comes from A&I - I order a 706 diesel muffler which has a 17 inch shell length
the IH13 is the same design as the IH10 and the original IH mufflers
The body or shell is 2 1/2 inches shorter on the IH 10 hence the more noise. the IH13 is as close to original ( the IH mufflers with the large outlet diameter) as I have seen and they sound nice anything
Stieners sells is at least 2 1/2 inches shorter shell length or more

Yep. The IH-10 has nothing between the inlet and outlet and the exhaust can blow straight through as if it were a straight pipe. The harder
the engine is running the less it does to reduce noise.

The "original" IH mufflers with the 2 1/2 inch outlet had a baffle. I got a few and the IH13 sounds close
the actual original IH mufflers had a much smaller outlet which Steiner sells. I also have a couple of the original ones of those and don't care for the sound although they are quieter === a little too Allis Chalmers for my liking

I'll have to go look in my stockpile. It's either an IH13 or an IH15, but I think it's an IH13, and it definitely has a baffle.
