806 spindle bushings

The right spindle and steering knuckle on my 806 had a lot of slop so I am in the process of replacing them. The bushings in the housing had some play so I am replacing them. I put them in the deep freeze overnight to hopefully get them in easier. The top one finally went in with quite a bit of effort. With me laying on the ground the bottom one seems to be a harder install. Do I need to remove the housing from the tractor or do one you of you guys have a method that will make this simpler ? Thanks for any help you fellas always amaze with your knowledge' Thanks Lee

I made up a puller , had a buddy machine the driver/ Puller puck and drill the 3/4 inch hole for the grade five all thread then with my extra deep socket and my impact they go in sorta easy and stop when they are seated in . Top one i can either drive or pull in .

I second T.V.'s method. If that is not available you could adjust the axle so the spindle leg is straight vertical then use a jack to push it in with a plate. I used a threaded rod and a puck or washer for it on our 1466 when I replaced the bushings. Also used a bolt or rod when I did the 674 front steering pivots.

I wonder if you had one of those seal driver sets with the thick aluminum pucks, if you couldn't use one of those, well maybe stack two or three of them for strength, and a long all thread for the same effect?

It doesn't have to be a machine fit to the bushing, just has to pull evenly all around, right?
