What is it?

I took this off the right side of the drawbar of my 36 F-20. It is some kind of breakaway device for some attachment.
It seems to say M2866 next to the IHC logo. The numbers are upside down in the picture, but pictures are right side up showing the orientation as installed.
What was this used with and does someone want it?

BRACKET, Spring Release
