IH 806 RD Injector pump

Hi, read some of the comments about pump shaft seals leaking. I've taken the pump shaft out of my RD pump and it's just an o ring. Question is, is it a specific part or will a generic o ring work? If it is a specific part any idea where I could get a couple? Here's the number off of the pump if that helps, 6c40105, 339176-r92, 37168. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I can't say about the o-ring. I keep hearing that parts are just about extinct for those pumps though. I hope I never have to do anything serious to mine. It has the same RD pump.

Spencer diesel in Iowa. I've gotten parts from them for the couple of rd's that I have rebuilt.

I had my RD pump rebuilt by spencer diesel. It was not cheap but it was a first class rebuild. Pump was set to specs. i wanted and runs like a new one. Can't say enough good things about those folks. Gary
