806 Hydraulics

I came up with a hydraulic fluid dryer for my 806. It's about 12 inches long and 11/2 inch diameter. It soaks up the moisture from the hy tran on contact.

I need a place in the tractor to come in contact with the hydraulic fluid and still not get beaten up with gears and that sort of thing.

Where in that tractor would be a good place to locate it?

Thanks a lot
Bob

Probably the safest location would be inside from the top link plate of the 3 point It could be mounted beside the Pto drive shaft and above the 3pt components in the bottom. That is also where the oil is the deepest when setting level. It could be mounted to that plate so it would set flat or endways.

OK. Thanks a lot for the information. I'll see about putting that together.

I have always had moisture getting into the hyd oil and ;thought this might be the thing I needed.

It is a moisture absorbant in a tube filter like affair. If you laid it open on the counter it would soak up moisture from the air.

I assume it would swell until it hit saturation, then it would have to have the filter replaced. You can find them on NAPA. Those have been around a while. This is the first I have done with them.

Supposed to take out all moisture including emulsified stuff. Cleans it up in 72 hours. Be cheaper than replacing the oil, that's for sure. We'll see.
